Harvey's marketing team builds a launch film and per-account demo films with agents inside Figma

Harvey's in-house team describes agents building a launch film, hundreds of tailored demo films and a brand library in Figma via MCP.

WHAT THEY DID

Harvey's marketing team says agents built its Harvey Artifacts launch film inside Figma, scene by scene as Figma Motion frames, and then a system that makes a tailored product film for each target account.

STEP BY STEP

  1. Agents crawl the product and rebuild key screens as Figma components (Product Map).
  2. Agents work out reusable film moves in Figma Motion (Motion Primitives).
  3. Launch film: storyboard in Figma → agent builds scenes as Figma Motion frames → canvas review comments → retime to music → export.
  4. Account films: 44 demo flows → Enterpret MCP pulls Gong, Salesforce and Slack → agent writes script → ElevenLabs voice → ~750-line JS engine builds the film → contact-sheet QA.
  5. Parallel builds across three lane files plus a coordinator; a Claude artifact tracks every film.
  6. Agentic Brand Guidelines as a Figma library; Figma Weave for images and video; Spectre agent takes requests in Slack.

HOW IT WENT

A 44-flow demo menu in 13 categories, a ~750-line JavaScript film engine and an Agentic Brand Guidelines library in Figma (per the authors).

Reported results: A launch film for Harvey Artifacts; 36 films in one 69-minute batch; 97 more scripted and voiced overnight (per the authors).

WORTH KNOWING

A detailed look at agents working in a design team's own Figma files, told by the company itself. They report limits: first prompts came back 'half decent', only one agent can work in a Figma file at a time, and they hit a daily Figma call cap. The times and film counts are the team's own; 4TC has not checked them, and no work dates are given.

TRY IT

  • Turn one brand guideline page into a Figma library with worked examples, not just tokens.
  • Give an agent a storyboard in Figma and review it with canvas comments before any animation.
  • Expect one agent per Figma file; split parallel work across separate files.

Claims and where they come from

  • The authors say the Harvey Artifacts launch film was made 'entirely with agents, inside of Figma': the agent built every scene as a Figma Motion frame and exported the cuts from the file. (reported) [1]
  • The team reviews on the canvas, 'sometimes 50 comments at a time', and the agent reworks the board after each pass. (reported) [1]
  • Their first per-account prompts 'came back half decent' and needed 15 to 20 minutes of back-and-forth each, which they say would not scale. (reported) [1]
  • They built a menu of 44 company-agnostic demo flows; agents pull Gong calls, Salesforce win-loss reports and Slack through Enterpret's MCP, then write a script with a fictional company on screen. (reported) [1]
  • Voiceover uses their narrator's voice, built in ElevenLabs from ten minutes of her footage; they also cloned teammates' voices from short clips of their interviews. (reported) [1]
  • An engine of about 750 lines of JavaScript turns each script into a film in Figma and lays out contact sheets that flag clipped text, small type and stray pointers. (reported) [1]
  • Only one agent can work in a Figma file at a time; queued calls hit two minutes and timed out, so they split work across three lane files plus a coordinator. (reported) [1]
  • They report one batch of 36 films took 69 minutes, and after hitting their daily Figma call cap, overnight agents scripted and voiced the next 97. (reported) [1]
  • Their Agentic Brand Guidelines started as markdown and became a Figma library with worked examples, because markdown 'breaks one step up' from design tokens. (reported) [1]

4TC interpretation

Our reading, not something the source says.

Shows a design team treating Figma like a codebase for agents: brand rules as a library agents can see, reusable motion primitives, and review on the canvas.

Designer impact

Established [1]

Voice clones of a narrator and teammates built from short clips of footage.

  • Get written consent before cloning anyone's voice.
  • Label synthetic voiceover where your client or platform requires it.

Established [1]

Large token use: the post says Shawn Farsai used 15.6B tokens across Figma, ElevenLabs and Weave in 'the last 14 days'.

  • Check your Figma plan's MCP call limits and model costs before planning batch work.
