WHAT THEY DID
Linus Ekenstam prompted Midjourney for a bearded, sunglasses-wearing barbershop logo (about two minutes), blended chosen images, vectorized the pick with Vectorizer.ai in three colors, then cleaned lines and curves in a vector editor and exported SVG.
HOW IT WENT
He calls the result satisfactory. No client feedback or fee is reported, and he notes the shop name, social graphics and signage were still to do.
WORTH KNOWING
From 2023, so the tools and the free beta pricing he mentions are out of date. Originality and production quality weren’t tested.

4TC interpretation
Our reading, not something the source says.
Useful for discussing what a generated icon does and does not complete in a branding project.
Designer impact
A generated mark can be a starting point, but this thread itself notes that the naming and other brand applications still remain.
Worth checking
- Check whether a generated mark is distinctive enough, and whether you can license and protect it for a client.
- Check vectorized paths for print and small sizes.
Votes rate whether this entry was useful. They are not an endorsement of the tool, and don’t mean voters agree with the company’s practices.
