Designing a Google BigQuery explainer inside a 61-page brand book

A 2017 Frame.io article shows how a post house kept an explainer on brand when the product had no guidelines of its own.

WHAT THEY DID

Coat of Arms studied Google Cloud’s 61-page brand book, picked accent colors from Material Design with permission, revised early style frames that were on-brand in color but not in voice, toned down a jokey script for a technical audience, and used solid and forming circles to show data and queries.

HOW IT WENT

The article calls it BigQuery’s benchmark video but gives no viewing or performance data.

WORTH KNOWING
