WHAT THEY DID

Zapier runs a weekly video “Design Club” critique open to anyone, with sign-ups on Monday, a facilitator and about three items; tracks design requests in a shared repository; announces research sessions with a bot; has notetakers record observations in a shared sheet; and moves them to a whiteboard tool for affinity mapping.

HOW IT WENT

No measured results; the author’s view is that great design can happen remotely.

WORTH KNOWING

Undated, and several named tools (Sketch, InVision) have since faded. Zapier still meets in person for onboarding and retreats.
