WHAT THEY DID

After leaving full-time work, Janice Sung tried several styles and kept posting to Instagram. She starts each piece from a color palette, pairs organic forms with geometric shapes, and paints fashion figures with soft brushes on her phone and desktop.

HOW IT WENT

She found clients through Instagram and Behance, and says her current style emerged only months before the interview after “a huge struggle”.

WORTH KNOWING

From 2018, published by the app maker. She says she still had a lot to learn about running the business.
