WHAT THEY DID

Rebekah Read gave Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Design the brief her clients fill in: a brand questionnaire, existing copy, colors, fonts and personality notes. She asked for a photographer’s homepage, a real estate sales page and a five-page site, then compared them with her own builds.

HOW IT WENT

She reports the Claude homepage took about 30 minutes, against about 2.5 hours for her Showit build including a client call. She found the AI output functional but short on brand personality, with a misidentified font and emoji dividers. No conversion data is given.

WORTH KNOWING

She sells platform-based web design, so she has a stake in the comparison. Her claims about conversion and security are opinion, not tested.

4TC interpretation

Our reading, not something the source says.

A working designer compared AI output with her own to show where judgment still shows. It's one data point, but it's a useful way to test your own claims about quality.
