How Design Radar works

Design Radar is a section of 4 The Creatives. It helps graphic designers decide what deserves their time, money and attention by collecting what people have actually done with their tools, and linking every entry to where it came from. That includes AI and non-AI tools, and everyday work like file organization, client management and business development.

4TC does not endorse a tool unless an explicit 4TC endorsement is shown. Entries are listed for awareness and discussion.

What you’re reading

Each entry says what someone did, how it went, and what’s worth knowing, in our own words. A short line under the title says what kind of account it is, such as a self-initiated concept, a class project, a tutorial or a result reported by the vendor. “About this source” shows the source type, the links, access limits and our notes. Where something is our interpretation, it says so. Sources more than a year old are marked as older examples.

Voting

The question is always “Was this information useful?” A vote rates how useful the entry is. It isn’t an endorsement of the tool, and it doesn’t mean voters agree with the company’s practices. We show a score only, never a percentage. Voting is anonymous, with no account or email. An anonymous cookie and rate limits reduce manipulation; they don’t eliminate it. Votes never change our editorial assessment.

Endorsements and designer impact

“4TC Recommends” appears only after 4TC has tested something for a stated purpose, with the reasoning, method and date. No entry has one yet. Where it matters, an entry notes specific things to check, such as licensing, upload terms, production limits or pricing, and any concern is marked Established, Disputed or Alleged, with a source.

Saving

Save keeps a bookmark in your browser, with no account. It stays on this device and browser, and clearing site data removes it.

Contribute and corrections

You can send a tool experience, a case study, a correction or an idea for the site. A person reviews everything before anything is published. There are no public comments and no accounts. Accepted corrections are logged on the entry.
